ESA Renewables Plans 20MW Pennsylvania Solar Farm

ESA Renewables (ESA), a leading turnkey solar system provider, recently announced its plan to construct a 20MW solar photovoltaic generation facility in Claysville, Pennsylvania.

The planned site is a grid connected 20MW solar photovoltaic generation facility, divided in 20 units, each of them with a 1 MVA step up transformer.

“We are excited to announce the newly planned solar project,” said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables. “We thank the community of Claysville for recognizing the benefits that solar farms can bring to rural communities.”

The ground-mount photovoltaic generating facility would be in operation for a period of twenty years on property located on West Route 40 in Washington County.

ESA plans to construct, commission, monitor and provide maintenance on the solar array during the lifespan of the system. Utilizing ESA’s proprietary control and monitoring system via a secured connection, ESA’s system managers will have immediate access, from anywhere in the world, to pertinent real-time data being generated from the solar array. They will be automatically alerted of events to allow for quick response. Performance data will also be collected and stored for later analysis, simulations, testing, etc. — all essential for effective preventive and corrective maintenance.

Anticipated grid-connection date is August of 2012.

Johnson City Selects ESA Renewables to Install & Maintain Four Photovoltaic Systems

ESA Renewables (ESA), a leading turnkey solar system provider, has been awarded a competitive bid contract penned by Johnson City, Tennessee officials to install and maintain four ground and rooftop photovoltaic systems that convert solar radiation into direct current electricity. Twenty-one additional solar energy generating systems will potentially be included in the award as well.

“ESA’s proprietary PV monitoring and control system as well as our global expertise and experience in installing solar generating systems has proven, once again, to be a powerful combination,” said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables. “We are excited to have been awarded this solar project to bring clean, green energy to Johnson City.”

In late August, representatives from eleven interested firms attended a mandatory pre-proposal meeting at the Municipal & Safety Building at which Public Works Director Phil Pindzola reviewed the intent and scope of the project. A panel consisting of Pindozola, Jerry Brock, a retired management specialist; Mark Eads, Johnson City Power Board operations manager; and Bob Wilson, assistant city manager, reduced that number to four and eventually selected ESA.

Capable of managing a project through financing, engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and beyond, ESA’s team of solar energy professionals can also provide turnkey solutions such as its monitoring and control system. This proprietary monitoring system can be integrated into any solar installation and it allows for simplified, centralized, reliable and secure data management for solar power plants.

ESA Renewables Completes Solar Farm Construction in North Carolina

ESA's Cherokee County solar energy generating facility ready for grid-connection

Lake Mary, FL., October 5, 2011 - ESA Renewables, a leading turnkey solar system provider, announced this week the completion of its solar photovoltaic energy generating system in Murphy, North Carolina.

The 999 kW solar array is located the tight-knit community of Murphy in the heart of Cherokee Country, North Carolina.

Situated on approximately five acres, almost 4,500 ground-mounted photovoltaic (PV) solar modules which will produce estimated 1.3 million kilowatt-hours each year. This is enough to power more than 150 average sized homes.

Additionally, grid-connectivity allows the PV system to reduce carbon emissions of 936 tons of CO2 a year, which is the equivalent of 4,681 trees sequestered annually.

"The positive impact that this photovolatic system has had, and will continue to have on the community, the environment, and the movement towards green energy is something in which everyone involved in seeing it to fruition can be extremely proud," said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables.

The installation of this clean energy project has had a large impact through job creation. Approximately 10 construction workers, supervisors, electricians and engineers have been employed since its inception.

The farm was designed, engineered, procured, constructed and managed by ESA. ESA will operate and maintain the farm for the duration of the 10-year contract.
