Hernon Manufacturing Receives Approval for ReAct 784 for IAI Use from Haas TCM

As a replacement for an obsolete adhesive, Hernon’s ReAct 784, a structural adhesive has been approved by Haas TCM for the IAI as a replacement for aviation applications

Sanford, FL., November 28, 2012 – Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, has recently received notification from Haas TCM, a global chemical management services company, that its product, Hernon ReAct 784, has been approved as a replacement for the obsolete HYSOL EA 9446 for aviation applications. The ReAct 784 will be used by the IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries) for an application where bonding of painted aluminum parts to composite is required.

"Seeking an alternative adhesive type to replace HYSOL 9446, which was declared by HYSOL as an obsolete type, we supplied our customer with a 25ml sample of ReAct 784," said Harry Arnon, President of Hernon Manufacturing. "Based on testing, quality reports providing performance data, and review of the TDS (technical data sheet), our structural adhesive was found to be an ideal replacement for aviation applications by Hass TCCM."

ReAct 784 is a 100% solids, room temperature cure, and versatile structural adhesive. Hernon has taken the excellent bond strength of Fusionbond structural adhesive and merged it with the simplicity of ReAct two-component, no-mix curing system to create ReAct 784. This formulation will offer rapid, high strength and high impact resistant bonds to a variety of substrates within minutes.

“We have been told that engineers have been seeking an alternative solution to bond painted aluminum parts to a composite for a year and a half,” added Arnon. “As far as we know, there is no other adhesive type that can fill this need in the aircraft industry.”

Designed for a wide variety of substrates, React 784 offers excellent temperature and chemical resistance. The two-component, no-mix system allows controlled assembly timing ideal for production and repair applications. Simply apply adhesive to one part and activator to other part and join the assembly. A structural bond will develop within minutes.

“ReAct 784 is a suitable replacement for HYSOL 9446 which is located in numerous aircraft maintenance manuals both civilian and military -- including Lockheed Martin and Boeing aricraft,” added Arnon. “We have already received our first order for this structural adhesive for aviation applications.”

Hernon Manufacturing’s Pipe Sealant Approved by TerraCair for DEF Equipment Suppliers List

Dripstop® 940, a containment-free anaerobically curing pipe sealant, has been added to TerraCairs’ list of approved DEF Equipment Suppliers who are compliant for use with DEF

Sanford, FL., November 26, 2012 –Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, was recently awarded an approval for its Dripstop® 940 anaerobically curing pipe sealant from TerraCair, one of the largest manufacturers of DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) and urea in the United States. DEF is used with the catalytic converters for diesel engines made since 2010.

TerraCair publishes and distributes a DEF Equipment Suppliers list of approved companies who they have found to be contaminant- free and compliant with proper usage of DEF. Hernon Manufacturing’s Dripstop® 940, has been approved as a suitable pipe sealant for DEF technology and is now included on the list.

“As a result of a meeting with TerraCair representatives at the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) show last month, Hernon Manufacturing was given the proper direction and contacts to pursue the listing,” said Bob Sollien, Northeast Sales Representative for Hernon Manufacturing.

Dripstop® 940 also received the necessary approvals and exhibited 100% passing results from Intertek, which conducts thousands of automotive fuel and lubricant analytical tests each month. This testing confirmed that Dripstop® 940 was containment free to ISO-22241 standards and therefore compatible for DEF technology.

Dripstop® 940 can be used in the manufacturing of petroleum dispensing parts and equipment and during the installation of diesel and DEF dispensing systems. Dripstop® 940 has superior sealing, and has been specially formulated to be used with stainless steel pipe fittings and mild locking performance compared to tapes and non-hardening dopes.

Dripstop® 940 reduces costs by eliminating leakage and increasing the assembly line speed. It also eliminates waste in that there is no dripping or running. Additionally, because it is solvent free, it won't crack or shrink due to solvent evaporation.

Typical applications for Dripstop® 940 are: DEF bulk transfer stainless steel pipe fittings, fuel line fittings, plated flare fittings, pulp and paper mills, refinery piping, instrumentation fittings, waste treatment plants, textile equipment, piping for chlorine and caustic sodas, hydraulic line fittings, pneumatic line fittings, fluid connections, steam lines up to 250 psig and pipe plugs.

“We are pleased to be added to TerraCair’s DEF Equipment Suppliers list and to receive the national recognition as being a highly respected DEF manufacturer,” added Sollien.

Three High-Impact Ways to Customize a Funeral Service

There are many ways that you can offer your client families truly personalized funeral services.  You might be surprised to learn that many of the ways you can achieve them is with simple to use funeral software that allows customization of everything from the register book to the temporary grave marker.

When client families come to you for assistance in planning and executing the funeral service of a loved one, they expect you to make recommendations that reveal your expertise.  Fortunately, in this day and age, you have the major advantage with funeral software, designed specifically for the funeral industry professionals.  Giving you the ability to personalize a funeral from start to finish, the numerous ways you achieve a truly memorable service are almost limitless.  Let’s look at three of them now that you can easily manage in-house.

Funeral Stationery

With the ability to establish a highly individualized tone that pays sincere homage to the deceased, funeral stationery is exceedingly customizable now with the latest funeral stationery software.   Using the pre-formatted templates available in this software, you are guided through very simple steps that include selecting photos of the departed and a theme that embodies his or her spirit during life.  Through a large variety of options, you can create memorial folders, a register book, thank you cards, bookmarks, prayer cards and trifold programs.  From the first item guest see, the register book, to long lasting prayer cards and bookmarks, the personalization elements of the stationery combine to create a uniquely individualized look and feel.

DVD Tribute Videos
At the service itself, a DVD video tribute is an impressive world class collage that sets photographs and videos to music and can include hymns or poems as well as other written material that was meaningful to the departed.  Quickly becoming one of the most requested items at funeral services, tribute videos serve to unite mourners in the celebration of the life of their loved one.  They also have long lasting value as they can be copied for distribution to friends and family, or uploaded to your funeral homes website.

Funeral Candles
More and more funeral services are including candles.  A candle elicits a great emotional effect as it flickers and glows as if it had a life of its own.

What many people don’t realize is that funeral candles can be personalized, just like funeral stationery.  These customizable funeral candles consist of a four-sided beveled glass holder surrounding an all-natural, replaceable candle set on a cherry word base.  Applying the same theme that was chosen for the other funeral products and using a simple pre-formatted template, the outcome is a beautiful item that the bereaved can light on anniversaries, birthdays or any time they wish to reflect on the life of their loved one.

Funeral Keepsakes Comfort Those Left Behind

Funeral keepsakes, when personalized and created to be beautiful and useful, prove to be highly valuable to the bereaved.  They can also have a positive impact on your funeral home’s business.

As the people in our lives leave us in death, we visit the objects they left behind – a favorite sweater, a book collection, and other items to retain our connection with them.  Over the years, many of their belongings seem to disappear; clothes are donated and random items are cleared away for new things.  Although these were personal possessions and were used by the deceased during their life, they don’t provide a touchstone to the totality of the person’s life.  For this reason, funeral keepsakes have become an important part of coping with loss and paying tribute to the dead.  Signifying the entire lifespan with birth and death dates and cherished for many years following death, funeral keepsakes offer mementos on which mourners can reflect and remember the deceased.  A customized keepsake has life long after the services are over and is something that your clients truly enjoy.

There are many different personalized funeral keepsake options you can recommend to your clients.  A recent study conducted on the use of keepsakes reported that over 40% of funeral homes display some version of a personalized funeral candle at each service.  Funeral candles are cherished keepsakes, and with funeral software they can be personalized with photographs, dates of birth and death, and even favorite bible passages or quotes that characterize the departed.

Holiday remembrance ornaments are another unique keepsake option to suggest to client families.  These are perfect mementos to pass from generation to generation.  A remembrance ornament allows families to remember distant holidays and keep family memories alive for future generations.  With a choice of several elegant designs, these too can be personalized with labels printed in-house by the funeral home staff.  A good idea is to hold a Holiday Remembrance Program for the community and provide a remembrance ornament to each client family served within the previous year.

A funeral bookmark can also be personalized with photographs, pictures and quotes that symbolize the departed.  Useful and practical, a bookmark can be used again and again.  It also can have your funeral home information printed on it as a quiet marketing reminder to clients.

One of the most highly impactful elements when incorporated into a funeral service is the DVD video tribute.  In the more traditional services of yesteryear, mourners may leave a service without any real connection to the departed.  When tribute videos are presented, however, the spirit of the person comes to life.  Photographs, video clips, favored psalms, music, poems and verbiage can be included.  Seeing a movie-like tribute for a friend or loved one and remembering the milestones of their life can help the bereaved in the grieving process and inspire them to share stories amongst themselves.  Easily reproducible and uploaded to the internet or the funeral home website, video tributes can be viewed and shared forever.

Designed specifically to keep the memory of the deceased alive, customized funeral keepsakes can be cherished by client families for generations to come.

It’s Not Too Late to Hold a Holiday Remembrance Program

Although you should get started right away, it’s not too late to host a holiday remembrance program for the families you have served in the last year at your funeral home.

Holiday remembrance programs are a special way to help client families remember and honor a loved one. Funeral professionals usually host this type of program at their funeral home and may give a personalized keepsake ornament to their client families as a unique memorial gift.

Normally held during the months of November or December, holiday remembrance programs invite the bereaved to gather together to reflect on the memory of their loved ones. During the program the funeral director will usually present their client family with a personalized ornament or other personalized keepsake.

Because this time of year is such an intense reminder of a love that has been lost, a holiday remembrance program can be a way to help the bereaved understand that heartaches will appear as they ready themselves for the holidays. Certain things like unpacking ornaments and putting up a tree may cause the bereaved to feel deep grief and loss.

Attendees of a holiday remembrance program find comfort in not only the chance to reflect on the memories of their loved one, but find strength in being with others who have experienced loss and are coping with grief as well. It is a chance to share their feelings about loss, tell stories about their loved one and discuss their life in current times. Because of this, these events offer great comfort and healing to the bereaved.

Preparing for the event, the funeral professional can easily and quickly personalize the remembrance ornaments in-house with the name and dates of the deceased or any other text that is desired. There are several styles of hand blown glass ornaments, tipped with 22k gold that can be created using only a funeral software template, adhesive decals and a standard printer. This type of ornament comes in individual gift boxes for presentation to the families and for safe keeping.

During the program, you can select someone to read a special passage, or invite others to share stories about their loved one as they remember them at the holidays. Towards the end of the program, you can present each family with a holiday remembrance ornament. In doing so, you will be providing a stunning gift that memorializes the departed and connects you further with the community. Afterwards, there may be coffee and other light refreshments served giving the families a chance to mingle and connect with each other.

Each year following the holiday remembrance program, families will have their ornament to include on their tree in their home. As they unpack their holiday decorations and remembrance ornament, they will remember their loved one and the healing place their funeral professional had in their lives as well.

Print Customized Funeral Stationery On-Demand

If you’re like most funeral directors, you’ve known the frustration of using pre-printed funeral stationery.  Re-orders need to be managed and timed perfectly so that you wouldn’t run out of a particular selection.   To add to the issue, suppliers required minimum orders, which meant large, expensive outlays.  Managing the inventory, repetitively inputting the deceased’s information for each piece of stationery, and controlling costs consumed large blocks of time.  What a nightmare!

A better option is print on-demand funeral stationery.  With funeral stationery software, a funeral professional has the ability to use blank stock and create a completely customized, complete line of funeral stationery.  Simply select which type of stationery to be printed, choose a theme from the hundreds available, enter the appropriate information, and then enter the number you wish to print.

Hundreds of background themes are supplied on the software to reflect hobbies, professions, military or community service, and religious preferences.  Adding photographs, custom messages and obituaries completely personalize the funeral stationery.  Once designed and printed, each custom piece of funeral stationery is well coordinated with each other.  The theme carries through the entire service and can even be used as the background for a DVD video tribute, intro and ending of a funeral webcast and on a funeral keepsake, such as a funeral candle.

With print on-demand funeral stationery software, you can also print the exact number of prayer cards, or funeral programs needed.  If more guests arrive at the memorial service than planned for, printing a few extra funeral programs or other funeral stationery is no problem at all.  Just open the funeral stationery software program put the blank paper in the printer and hit the print button.  Print on-demand gives the funeral director total control.

In today’s world, it’s critical to provide your client families with the latest options available in terms of technology and services.  Families have other choices for where they purchase their funeral stationery; some even decide to do it themselves.  By providing them with a highly customized and complete funeral stationery package at an affordable price – their decision is easier and they are more pleased with the service you offer.

Online Funerals for Those Who Cannot Attend a Funeral Service

Online funerals are a perfect way to allow friends and family members who cannot attend a funeral service to feel that they are a part of the life celebration.  They also can help alleviate any feelings of guilt for simply not being at the funeral.  Likewise, client families gain a sense of relief knowing that all those who loved the deceased are able to join in and witness the last event to be held for the loved one who has slipped into death.

There are many reasons that can impede someone from being able to attend a funeral service for a loved one.  Military personnel deployed overseas, work commitments that cannot be changed, weddings and other long planned events are just a few of the numerous explanations that prevent funeral attendance.

Being unable to be present for a loved one’s final sendoff can have deleterious consequences for both the absent mourner as well as the bereaved family.  Deep feelings of guilt and regret can trouble the person who can’t attend. Feelings of anger and resentment, along with a feeling that the departed was not cared for can trouble the client family.  However, with amazing technology that broadcasts an online funeral across the globe, everyone the family designates can attend a funeral online.

In order for you to offer this service to your community, you will of course need funeral software that allows you to manage this process.  With a simple video package which includes a tripod, HD camera, wireless microphone and a USB capture device you can be up and running in a matter of minutes.

In addition to being a convenient offering in its own right, the best funeral webcasting software includes live and delayed streaming capabilities.  This feature enables the viewer to attend the funeral service live, or enable them to watch it later at a more suitable time.  Global distribution that includes many servers that simultaneously stream the event ensure that it can be viewed from almost anywhere the internet reaches.

When you think about it, there seems to be no good reason to prevent you from supplying this service.  Why risk losing potential business when the funeral home down the street begins to offer the latest technology?  After all, an online funeral benefits everyone – you and your funeral home, the friends and family who cannot attend, as well as the family who is sending off their loved one.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

Personalized Temporary Grave Markers Can Have a Permanent Impact on Your Business

No longer do you have to install impersonal and unattractive temporary grave markers.  A new funeral product serves its intended purpose while having long-lasting value to your client families and your future business.

With new options in temporary grave markers, you now have a much better product to offer to your client families.  The functional yet unattractive temporary grave markers of the past are no longer necessary as a new, fully customizable choice is available to you.

Since many deaths are unexpected, there is no time to plan for the production of a permanent headstone.  Even for those who die as a result of extended illness, the hopeful nature of humans often delays the real planning necessary to order a headstone until the very end.  For this reason, temporary grave markers have historically been necessary for cemetery workers as well as family members to identify a gravesite.  Impersonal and utilitarian temporary grave markers have net this need, but with funeral software that allows personalization of many funeral products, even temporary grave markers can reveal the nature of the departed.

A removable photo frame forms the basis for this funeral product and once a permanent grave marker has been installed, can be kept by the family as a keepsake.  There are over 500 themes to choose from to represent the deceased’s interests in life and by adding a photo and verbiage selected by the family, a keepsake is created.

With easy to follow templates you simply choose a theme befitting any occupation, hobby or interest, drag and drop a photo into the identified area and copy and paste a prayer, poem or obituary.  Then print, tear along the perforated edges and laminate with the provided laminated pouches.  Insert into the acrylic frame and attach to a reusable metal stake.

Such minimal effort yields great rewards in terms of a completely customized funeral product that has long lasting value.  For the client family, a loved one’s grave is marked by an item that will touch them as they are able to gaze upon a photo of their loved one.  Because the photo frame is so appealing, they will wish to keep it after the permanent grave marker is in place.  For your business, the availability of an attractive item that is rarely even thought of until death will increase your reputation as an all-inclusive, client-focused funeral home.

This patent pending product is just one of many funeral products that you can create yourself in-house with funeral software that allows you to personalize stationery, keepsakes, remembrance ornaments and more.  By applying a consistent theme to all items you can establish an individual tone for each client you serve.  This tone will be present at the service and among keepsakes and funeral stationery kept by client families for many years to come.  Each time the item is brought out, your business will be remembered with gratitude and as a result, more business will come your way.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

How Funeral Software Has Changed the Funeral Industry

Funeral software has enabled the industry to give its client families the chance to remember their loved ones as they were in life – through unique, personalized funeral products.  This all-in-one software also gives the funeral professional the ability to create these products easily and in-house.  It’s a win-win for all.

Within the last decade, the funeral industry has been completely transformed with the invention of funeral software.  The changes are far reaching and have made a monumental impact on the feel and tone of funeral services.  The customization options available now through the use of funeral software gives the funeral professional the ability to hold a service that consists of a wide variety of items that are personalized to present the true nature of the life being mourned.

Most people believe that a funeral is an opportunity to provide connection with the deceased and these detached, common items hardly fulfilled that need.  With funeral software, you have the opportunity to customize not only stationery, but funeral webcasts, tribute videos, temporary grave markers and keepsakes.

Consider the days of stock funeral stationery.  A limited number of generic designs were available to choose from and most registry books, prayer cards, memorial folders and programs were highly impersonal.  Now, from the moment a person enters the funeral or memorial service, the essence of the deceased is evident with a personalized funeral register book that contains photographs and favorite quotes or bible verses.

Memorial folders and funeral programs also contain the same theme, different images and other quotes or sayings that were meaningful to the deceased.

One of the most requested items, the DVD tribute video, provides a moving focal point that combines photographs, videos, and cherished hymns.  The same theme that has been used on the other funeral products can be selected and incorporated into the video tribute. The result is a completely personalized service that pays homage to the life of the one who has left us.

Funeral webcasting, the ability to broadcast an online funeral throughout the world for those who can’t attend the service, is another groundbreaking achievement.  Imagine the grief of one overseas who can’t be physically present at the service.  With funeral webcasting software you have the capacity to allow them to participate, alleviating them of guilt and providing them with a sense of closure.

Funeral keepsakes such as candles, holiday remembrance ornaments and bookmarks all can be personalized with the same images and themes used on the other funeral products for the service.
As with all industries, the funeral industry continues to grow and evolve.  Don’t get left behind by not embracing the technology that can transform funeral services and your business.

What Can Software do for the Funeral Industry?

Client families have been snapping pictures of their family and friends for decades.  More recently, almost everyone has access to some type of video recording device – for most; their phone is also their camera and camcorder.  The world is evolving and technology is readily available to everyone – including funeral directors.

Advancements in technology span the globe and touch the lives of almost every conceivable industry, even the funeral industry.  Funeral software now enables families to connect in ways never thought possible, even in death.  Funeral webcasting makes this possible.  A funeral director, using a simple video set-up can broadcast a funeral or memorial service over the internet.  Guest can be invited to a password protected viewing should they not be able to attend in person.  The experience is amazing and the benefits to both client families and your funeral home are tremendous.

Another age-old funeral tradition is the poster board.  These too are being left behind as new technology to create DVD tribute videos takes their place.  Historically, the poster boards displayed photographs of the deceased and special family moments in happier times.  Created to evoke memories of the deceased and remind everyone of the place their loved one had in their lives, poster boards can’t do what a video tribute can.  A DVD tribute video is a moving tribute that combines pictures, videos, music and words to tell a loved one’s life story.  Tribute video software enables the funeral director to easily assemble these cinematic quality movies in-house.  The resulting videos are amazing – almost like watching the story of someone’s life unfolding before your eyes.

In addition to creating DVD tribute videos, funeral professionals can also utilize all-in-one funeral software for personalizing a full range of products from funeral stationery to funeral candles.  The software gives the funeral director the power to provide client families with professional quality items that are under the directors’ complete control from development to the presentation of the final product to the family.

The funeral stationery software permits the funeral director to easily create and print custom items with a matching theme to add that personal touch.  The same theme can be used on all funeral products from the DVD tribute video holders, to guest register books, memorial bookmarks, the funeral webcast and even the thank-you cards.  No specialty pre-printed stationery is needed.  Using blank card stock for each item to be made, the custom funeral stationery can be created using the pre-formatted design templates in the software and then printed onto blank card stock from the funeral homes own printer.   With this flexibility, the funeral director can also print as many or as few as they wish.  Software of this kind includes over 500 themes to allow client families to choose an occupation, interest or hobby that exemplifies the life they’re honoring, making each item particularly meaningful.

Each day, thousands of funeral home professionals put their confidence in new technology and funeral software.  Isn’t it time you discovered the power of software built with the funeral professional in mind?

Personalized Funeral Stationery Software

Memories are kept alive by funeral stationery that is customized to represent the interests and pursuits one devoted their life to.  Personalization with funeral software will help funeral directors offer this special gift to their client families.

Appropriate funeral stationery recommendations can be difficult for the funeral home professional and making selections can be overwhelming for client families.  Historically, pieces have been chosen ad hoc with no consistent theme unifying them and little to no personalization for the families.  This leads to a variety of stationery pieces that do nothing to honor the deceased’s interests or unique personal attributes, creating an impersonal, sullen event.  However, with funeral stationery software that contains a large variety of templates, themes and easy to follow production instructions, funeral directors can now offer their client families the very best selection of stationery customized to best represent their loved ones.

Themes have been expected of weddings, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties and now the same can be said of funeral services.  If the deceased was a lifelong tennis player and known among all who knew him as a tennis enthusiast, why should that be left out of his funeral service?  A professional reporter who has travelled extensively to provide objective reporting on world events should certainly be remembered and honored for the commitment to that harrowing profession.  With funeral stationery software that allows for customization of all types of stationery, that is now possible.

From the moment a guest enters the funeral home and signs a personalized guest register to years after the service when lighting a funeral candle with the same theme, keeping all stationery items consistent will help recall the essence of the deceased.  Memorial folders, bi- and tri-fold programs and prayer cards customized with the departed’s most cherished hobby will always serve to remind those left behind of that person’s spirit and how he or she chose to spend life.

Continue the celebration of life after the service with matching acknowledgement cards and bookmarks reinforcing the same theme.  Tribute videos, most often shown at the service or family gathering afterwards, utilize the same theme and can be reproduced for distribution to a larger audience or uploaded to the web.  Each and every time a piece of stationery from that person’s funeral service is seen by friends and family, the true life spirit of the departed will be recalled.
As funerals evolve from somber events to joyous celebrations of life, it only makes sense to offer funeral stationery that upholds this type of tribute.  Personalities are not remembered by stock cards with impersonal photos and minimal information.  They are remembered and kept alive when the items that they were sent off with are true representations of how they lived.
