Hernon Manufacturing Announces Acceptance to the Petroleum Equipment Institutes’ Association

As a manufacturer of Dripstop® 940, an anaerobically curing pipe sealant, which has been validated DEF compatible, Hernon Manufacturing has been accepted into the PEI Association

Sanford, FL., November 21, 2012 – Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, was recently accepted into The Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI) Association.

The Petroleum Equipment Institute is a trade association whose members manufacture, distribute and service petroleum marketing and liquid-handling equipment. Founded in 1951, PEI represents more than 1,600 member companies located in all 50 states and more than 80 countries. Members include manufacturers, sellers and installers of equipment used in service stations, terminals, bulk plants, fuel, oil and gasoline delivery, and similar petroleum marketing operations.

Hernon Manufacturing supplies a validated DEF compatible anaerobic curing pipe sealant called Dripstop® 940 to the petroleum industry. This thread sealant recentlyally received the necessary approvals and exhibited 100% passing results from Intertek, which conducts thousands of automotive fuel and lubricant analytical tests each month. This testing confirmed that Dripstop® 940 was containment free to ISO-22241 standards and therefore compatible for DEF technology.

“As a member of PEI, it is yet another opportunity for Hernon Manufacturing to present Dripstop® 940 to the petroleum industry,” said Edgardo Rodriguez, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hernon Manufacturing. “We welcome any inquiries pertaining to this pipe sealant or for any of the other 5000 adhesives and sealants which we manufacture.”

Typical applications for Dripstop® 940 are: DEF bulk transfer stainless steel pipe fittings, fuel line fittings, plated flare fittings, pulp and paper mills, refinery piping, instrumentation fittings, waste treatment plants, textile equipment, piping for chlorine and caustic sodas, hydraulic line fittings, pneumatic line fittings, fluid connections, steam lines up to 250 psig and pipe plugs.

“Hernon Manufacturing also offers a wide range of solutions from custom turnkey assembly workstations to simple tabletop dispensers. Your unique assembly requirements will be addressed by a team of engineers from concept to on site setup and training,” added Rodriguez. “Additionally, Hernon Manufacturing offers off-the-shelf tabletop dispensing solutions available as stand-alone units or as part of an automated assembly process.
