Hernon Manufacturing, the innovator in adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, has announced that the company has received The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Registration. This registration enables Hernon to better serve government and ammunition manufacturers.
"We strive to be the dependable source for military-grade adhesives, sealants and dispensing equipment, that are custom engineered and proven to meet or exceed military requirements and reduce costs," says Harry Arnon, President of Hernon Manufacturing. "ITAR registration positions us to further demonstrate our commitment to and understanding of government market segments."
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of United States government regulations that control the export and import of defense-related articles and services on the United States Munitions List (USML). The Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) interprets and enforces ITAR. Its goal is to safeguard U.S. national security and further U.S. foreign policy objectives.
All manufacturers, exporters, and brokers of defense articles, related technical data and defense services as defined on the United States Munitions List (Part 121 of the ITAR) are required to register with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC). Registration is primarily a means to provide the U.S. Government with necessary information on who is involved in certain manufacturing, exporting and brokering activities. Registration does not confer any export rights or privileges, but is a precondition for the issuance of any license or other approval for export. The registration is valid for twelve months.
The companies new water-proofing technology for ammunition used by the military and law enforcement, as well as an advanced process of applying sealants to bullets was recently recognized and awarded the William C. Schwartz Innovation Award by the Central Florida economic-development officials.
"When accuracy and reliability matters, the world’s leading ammunition manufacturers turn to Hernon," added Arnon.
