Coping with the Loss of a Child

The loss of a child is one of life’s most devastating events.  Children are not supposed to die.  Parents expect to see their children grow and mature.  Ultimately, parents expect to die and leave their children behind.  This, to most parents, is a natural course of events in life.  When a child dies, the death signifies the loss of the future and of hopes and dreams for who they believed their child would one day become.

Known as one of the most intense forms of grief, the death of a child leaves parents feeling as if a part of them has died.  They are faced with the paradox of having to live on as fully as possible while coping with the loss and grief.

Bereaved parents need to find ways to express their grief, and to hold on to the memories.  Many bereaved parents come to learn that their memories are of the most precious gifts they have ever received.

Additionally, siblings of the child who has died often may not have a specific way to express their loss and feelings of grief.  Some children will not talk much, and some will talk to strangers about their loved one who has passed.  Although grief in children is normal as it is with adults, if emotional or behavioral problems are extreme, or persist beyond six months, or if they diminish the child’s ability to learn, professional help should be sought.

Most funeral professionals, while well versed in grief counseling and helping families plan life celebrations will often say a funeral of a child is one of the hardest of services.  The devastation of burying a child, coupled with making day to day decisions and completing tasks that once were done without thought, may now be painstakingly difficult.

A funeral professional can help parents in mourning by providing customized funeral products, unique ways to capture memories and as always, a sympathetic ear -- to just listen.

Funeral software that has been created specifically for the funeral industry enables the funeral professional to customize funeral stationery and other items for the life celebration.  Some personalized funeral items include prayer cards, memorial folders and funeral register books customized with the child’s name, picture and a specific theme to match the child’s interests, or favorite colors.

DVD tribute videos can offer parents a way to hold on to their memories in a special way.  Comprised of photographs, music, videos and words, these movie-like tribute videos can be created in-house, by the funeral director, and will be unique keepsakes for the family and friends.

While the loss of a child is often unexpected and overwhelming, creating a fully personalized funeral service doesn’t have to be.

Customized Funeral Stationery

Customized funeral stationery such as funeral programs, prayer cards, acknowledgement cards are a very important a part of a life celebration.

Funeral programs, sometimes called a funeral order of service is the printed document that is handed out during a funeral or memorial service outlining the key points of the service.  The funeral program also serves as a keepsake summarizing the life achievements of the deceased.

Prayer cards typically depict a religious scene or saint; however, a picture of the person who has passed away can also be printed on the front of the card.  On the flip side of the card, the bereaved usually ask to include a prayer, or a special verse or poem as well as the person’s name and dates of birth and death.  These cards are about the size of a playing card.

Sending acknowledgement cards following a memorial service is a time honored tradition.  Thanking the people that came to the service and those who sent funeral flowers are a part of the healing process.  Thank you notes provide the bereaved an opportunity to once more share their thoughts and memories of the deceased with others and to thank them for paying tribute and honoring their loved one in a special way.

To honor the deceased in an unprecedented manner, customized funeral stationery can mirror the individual qualities that created that persons unique nature.  Every funeral program, prayer card, and acknowledgement card can now be reflective of the life that was lived. Making customized funeral stationery that matches the interests, hobbies, occupation, or non-secular background is currently possible with funeral stationery software.

In the past, most funeral homes had the standard, pre-printed thank you notes and other stationery as a result of the need to mass produce it in a short amount of time.  Ordering pre-printed stationery in bulk was also a time saver and money saver for the funeral home.  However, now, thanks to funeral stationery software, customized pieces can be easily and inexpensively created in-house.  Thank you notes and other pieces of customized funeral stationery can be created from blank stock in an affordable and simple manner.

Everything required for a customized service from begin to end may be produced in-house. The generic feel of the pre-printed funeral stationery is something of the past.  With the most recent funeral technology you'll be able to print what you wish, quickly and professionally, whenever you need it.  The customization options are amazing.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

Honoring a Loved One with a Tribute Video

Personal and special, tribute videos are a stunning way to honor a loved one.  Not only can they be viewed at a funeral or memorial service, but when burned to DVD, they can be enjoyed at home by generations to come for years after the service is over.

When you lose somebody special, your memories become more vital to you. If you are lucky enough to have preserved these significant moments through photos, videos, letters, cards, and even music, you have got the makings of an intensely personal tribute video.

Your funeral director, using a funeral software program that permits him to include scanned photos and uploaded videos and music, can assemble a tribute video that reflects your dear one's life.  You’ll also be able to choose not only which images to incorporate but, you’ll also be able to determine their order of appearance.

With your funeral directors help, you can select from themes that illustrate occupations, interests, hobbies, and skills or, if you favor, one that incorporates a pet or love of nature.  The theme can be incorporated throughout the funeral stationery as well, adding continuity and context to the personalization of the service.

Text in the form of scripture, poems, favorite quotes or simply the names of the individuals pictured can be included in the tribute video.  Whether the deceased had an affinity for prose, or if he or she had a keen sense of humor – any or all of those things can add richness and depth to the tribute video.
Professional motion effects, image touch-ups, and a mired of other special touches can be accomplished with just a few clicks of the mouse.  The resulting DVD tribute video is a cinematic quality, professional and personal way to honor a loved one.

For even more of an emotional impact, add funeral music, a popular song, or a spiritual hymn that was special to your love one.  The musical style that represents the deceased in the prime of his or her life or, if she was musically gifted, a recording of her singing or playing an instrument can add richness and a personal touch to your tribute.

With the immense library of video clips that your funeral director can access from an online library, you have nearly an unlimited resource at your disposal.  With your help, your funeral director can also selected an intro and ending that best reflects your loved ones true self.  These professionally crafted video clips can be added to the start and finish of your video adding polish and flair.

The DVD tribute video your funeral director can create in-house will be distinctive -- a true creation from your heart.  Play it throughout viewing hours to share with guests, or use it as a centerpiece of the funeral service.  Ask your funeral director to burn copies for you to distribute to family and friends, because it will be a treasure you will want to share.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

What Do Janitorial Services Do?

For most businesses it doesn’t make sense to hire full-time employees to manage the office cleaning and janitorial services.  Facility managers often hire local janitorial companies to clean their offices after regular business hours.  Hiring a janitorial company, the facility avoids the cost of employment taxes, training, time management and other benefits.

Janitorial services manage the cleaning process of commercial facilities including private businesses and public buildings.  The general responsibilities of most janitorial services often include removing trash from waste receptacles, vacuuming carpets, sweeping floors, and cleaning bathrooms.  Other services can include:

•    Commercial tile stripping, waxing, and floor maintenance
•    Carpet Cleaning
•    Construction Cleanup
•    General Window Cleaning
•    High Rise Window Cleaning
•    Emergency Cleaning
•    One Time Cleaning.

These types of custodial services can be contracted for office cleaning, commercial building cleaning, industrial cleaning, and medical offices – the list is endless.

If a company you're considering says they provide exceptional customer service and the ability to make the whole office shine, then that janitorial service company should be able to provide you with several references.  Talk to the references, visit their buildings and inspect the quality of the custodial services.  Ask yourself, would you want your facility cleaned by this company?

Choosing the right cleaning service for your facility can be a daunting venture.  What can quickly narrow down your selection is when you find a janitorial service that can tailor a specific site plan aimed at satisfying all of your cleaning needs.

The best janitorial companies will be on top of everything.  Ideally your janitorial service will alert management to any maintenance issues such as trouble with the hot water, leaky faucets or pipes, and sinks and toilets that need replacing or repair. If you have bundled your janitorial services with a commercial facility maintenance service provider, the repairs can be made in a timely and seamless manner.

Bundling Services
The cost of janitorial services and building maintenance is a concern for every commercial building owner and manager.   Ask your provider what other services their company offers and if bundling can save your facility any money.  Often commercial facilities can cut costs up to ten percent by bundling other commercial services.

Providing a wide range of services, American Facility Services can bundle your janitorial services with their services such as facilities maintenance or parking lot maintenance.  The company offers a wealth of other commercial services including asphalt paving, sealcoating, bulk debris removal, porter services, asphalt repair, commercial painting, pressure washing, sweeping services and more.

The Importance of Proper Building Maintenance

The role of a property manager or owner is to ensure their building is maintained to preserve the asset and protect the building occupants.  Not only will regular, proper maintenance make the building a healthy and safe place to work or live, but resale values are higher for properties that keep up with regular maintenance.

Buildings are an important element in our world.  Not only do they provide us with shelter, an environment to live, work and play, they also protect us from the outside elements.  Humans spend nearly ninety percent of our lives inside buildings.  Living in working in a safe and well maintained property is essential for most people.  Property managers interested in keeping tenants long-term will invest in timely building maintenance and repairs.

Because a commercial facility is exposed to all kinds of weather changes – rain, the beating down sun, wind and other natural elements.   Over time these natural occurring events have an adverse effect on roofs, windows, doors, paint, wood and other building materials.  Paint begins to peel, doors warp, roof leak – if left unattended, interior walls, floor coverings and ceilings can be damaged causing costly repairs.  Additionally, tenants belonging can be damaged by a building that is in disrepair.

Periodic inspection and maintenance of the roof, walls, gutters, drains, and foundations is an investment in controlling interior conditions as well as in preserving the building itself.  A regular schedule for maintenance of the exterior and interior of the building should be created and maintained with an ongoing log of building problems and resolutions.

Facilities managers have the responsibility to save money and conserve energy.  At the same time, these managers face the pressures of hearing complaints about the comforts of the building and maintenance issues from tenants.  Sometimes these responsibilities and pressures are in conflict with each other. Having a facility maintenance company that can be trusted to control costs and maintain your building can help both of these issues.  Damages can be spotted quickly and preventative maintenance can be performed to ward off potential high dollar repairs caused by unforeseen issues.  Timely repairs and regular upkeep reduces tenant complaints, thus increasing satisfaction.  Plus, having a regularly contracted facility maintenance company on call saves time searching for a technician to complete your task and worrying if the job will be handled correctly and in a cost effective manner.

It is crucial to develop a good working relationship with your facility maintenance company.  A commercial facility maintenance company may also be able to bundle your maintenance services together with your janitorial services or parking lot maintenance.  Doing so can help reduce your budgetary expenses while preserving the appearance of your building and keeping tenants satisfied.

Lighting a Candle in Memory of a Loved One

Religious and non-religious people burn funeral candles in remembrance of a loved one who has passed away.  In fact, for thousands of years, candles have been used at funerals to symbolize the everlasting spirit.

Funeral candles have many uses.  They are currently used during the funeral service itself, in churches, cemeteries, and homes.  The bereaved may light a funeral candle in memory of a loved one, to pray for their soul, and to feel more connected to those who are no longer with us on Earth.  Here are a few specific uses for funeral candles:

Funeral Candles for Solidarity
The sight of burning votive candles is common in most Catholic churches.  The candles are usually placed before statues of saints or at shrines.  Lighting a candle is a way of extending one’s prayer and showing solidarity with the person on whose behalf the prayer is offered.  The Catholic practice of lighting candles in order to obtain some favor is said to have its origins in the custom of burning lights at the tombs of the martyrs in the catacombs.  The lights burned as a sign of solidarity with Christians still on earth.  Because the lights continually burned as a silent vigil, they became known as vigil lights.

Candles for Anniversaries
A Yahrzeit, which is Yiddish for “a year’s time”, is the anniversary of the death of a loved one.  Every year it is Jewish custom to light a special candle that burns for 24 hours, called a Yahrzeit candle.  The funeral candle is lit during the initial mourning period immediately following a death, on the anniversary of the person’s death, and on certain holidays as well.

Funeral Candles for Shrines
A Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico is the Day of the Dead.  The holiday, which normally takes place on November first and second focuses on gathering of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died.  People go to cemeteries to be with the souls of the departed and build private altars containing the favorite foods and beverages.  At home, some families built altars or small shrines usually consisting of a Christian cross, statues or pictures of the Blessed Virgin Mary, pictures of the deceased, and many funeral candles.

Personalizing Funeral Candles
Funeral industry surveys have shown that more than forty percent of funeral homes have some type of funeral candle present at their services.  With the movement towards creating life celebrations and creating unique keepsakes, personalizing the funeral candle to coordinate with the other funeral stationery can make for a more complete life celebration.  Not only do personalized funeral candles make an excellent keepsake, they can be created easily in-house by utilizing pre-formatted funeral stationery software templates.

Do You Need a Permit for Parking Lot Resurfacing, Resealing or Restriping?

Hiring a professional paving company to resurface, reseal or restripe your facilities parking lot makes good financial sense.  Not only will you be assured that the materials used are of the highest quality and that the job is completed to your requirements, but also that you are in compliance with local parking lot codes and laws.

Nothing makes your business stand out more than a newly striped parking lot.  But, nothing is worse than having a project completed and finding out you needed a permit for the work and now you’re facing a hefty fine.  An important thing to keep in mind is that in most areas of Florida, permits are required to do most asphalt work.

A paving contractor with years of experience, and the latest equipment available to get the job done right the first time in a timely, cost effective manner can reduce a property manager or owners stress levels.  Researching specific codes and applying for construction permits can be an arduous process for business owner.  Partnering with a paving contractor that is familiar with your property, the local permit requirements and one that utilizes the highest quality materials is ideal.

Licensed contractors have invested a lot of money to be licensed and insured, which can give you peace of mind.  Hiring a fly-by-night company is a costly mistake.  Be sure to check references for any paving company you plan on hiring, make sure the paving company is insured, and be certain to ask them if they are familiar with the local and state requirements regarding permits and other regulations.  Plus, hiring an unlicensed contractor is against the law.

As your licensed paving contractor will know, each city can have different requirements, permit needs and fees.  Take for instance the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida.  If a commercial facility that wants to resurface and/or reseal their parking lot must get a permit from Building/Life Safety Services.  Restriping, without resurfacing or resealing, also requires a permit.  The new striping must exactly match the old striping.  However, if the old striping did not meet the current code requirements, the new striping will have to be modified to meet code.  The permit review will identify whether any changes will have to be made to the current striping to meet code.

A qualified, full service asphalt paving contractor will have the resources to effectively, efficiently and economically provide various services to you.  Before they start any job, your paving contractor should become familiar with the specific conditions of your property to prevent costly surprises.  A written proposal should include more than a price; it should include a plan to meet your needs and to satisfy building and safety codes.

Funeral Register Books – Why Personalization Matters

One of the most important things a funeral director can do nowadays is personalize a funeral service.  Families want to celebrate the life of their loved ones.  Personalization matters, especially for funeral stationery and funeral register books.

To assume that a generic funeral register book would be adequate is old fashioned thinking.  The bereaved want to embrace those who have passed away, with funeral stationery and keepsakes that highlights their distinctive personalities and shows the world what made this person special.

The growing need to personalize a ceremony completely, all the way down to the register book, provides death care professionals a chance to present their families with the most fitting personalization solutions.  The trick is to find a funeral software program that's simple to use, is inexpensive and can be used to create personalized funeral register books in-house.  This is the distinction between an amazing outcome and an overwhelming task to finish.

Personalization
When personalization is at stake, it’s all about the options.  Funeral stationery software that gives families more than five hundred different templates reflective of the interests and also the distinctive characteristics of a loved one's life makes personalizing funeral stationery more complete.  With this sort of all inclusive funeral software the only thing the death care professional must do is to review the choices with their client family and click a few buttons.  The templates are pre-formatted and pre-designed so that the finished funeral stationery and register books are professional in appearance and quality.

Easy to Use
When choosing a funeral stationery software for your funeral register book creations, take into account the time and energy it takes to enter and re-enter information into different programs and pieces of individual stationery.  Let’s face it; it's just a time consuming and senseless task to type the same information again and again.  For a more simple solution, funeral stationery software that can connect to the funeral management system that’s already in place, is ideal.  Once the data is entered, there’s no need to re-inter it for any of the funeral stationery, including the register book - simply click a few keys and you are done.

Affordable
Keeping inventory for a large selection of funeral register books would be extremely costly for a funeral home.  But, that’s what’s great about the latest funeral stationery software.  Simply purchase blank stock and be able to create as many or as few of each design and each piece of funeral stationery.  This can save the funeral home a bundle and enable them to pass the savings on to their client families.

Become a leader within the funeral industry. Say good-bye to generic funeral products.  Give your clients the ultimate in funeral personalization with custom created funeral register books and funeral stationery.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

Florida Parking Lot Regulations

For property managers considering a facelift for their property, often the first thing that comes to mind is the parking lot. The first impression a customer or client will receive is when they enter a parking lot.

A good paving contractor in Florida will understand the proper layouts for a new or an existing lot so as to facilitate proper traffic flow, provide a safe environment, and to comply with particular State statutes and guidelines such as the ADAAG, the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines.

Parking lots have many signs that offer drivers information about not only the “rules of the road” but give direction to drivers regarding specific Florida parking lot regulations. Some of these road markings or parking lot signage includes the following:

No Parking Areas – Any paved area that is not a designated parking space or thorough-fair can be marked off with a combination of road signs and surface road markings. For a no parking area, diagonal, yellow cross lines can be applied equidistant from each other over the parking area to designate to drivers that parking is not allowed.

Visitor Parking Spaces – Often facilities will offer visitors specifically designated spaces near the entrance of a building. As with no parking areas, a visitor parking space can be designated by adding a metal road sign and/or surface road markings. The word “Visitor” can be applied to the asphalt using epoxy, plastic tape, thermoplastic or paint. Your paving contractor can make a recommendation for the best type of application based on your particular parking lots needs.

Handicapped Parking Spaces - The State of Florida has a State standard for parking spaces provided for disabled persons entitled, “Parking Spaces for Persons Who Have Disabilities”. This statue is Florida Statute 553.5041. The statute sets requirements for the number of handicapped accessible parking spaces based on the total parking spaces in the lot. It is up to the property manager to comply with the statute. Ask your paving contractor to create a layout for the best line striping design and pavement marking layout.

Other important pavement markings include directional markings, fire lanes, loading and unloading zones, stop lines – sometimes called stop bars, and of course stall lines.

Selecting a Florida paving contractor that is familiar with all the Florida parking lot codes and laws will ensure that your business meets all the local and state requirements. By having a professional paving company complete your facilities parking lot signage, not only will your parking lot make a great first impression, it will also be safe for your buildings occupants and customers and comply with state and local code requirements.

Recently a funeral personalization, technology and consulting company designed and created the first ever removable photo frame temporary marker.  This unique funeral product allows the family of the deceased the opportunity to take home the photo frame portion of the grave marker as a keepsake.  The temporary grave marker comes with a reusable metal stake which the funeral home can keep and use again and again.

Traditional Funerals Make Way for Life Celebrations

Funerals have evolved with the changing wishes of society.  Traditional funerals are not the standard anymore.

Modern funerals are moving away from the strict adherence to the traditional funeral service norms to be much more personalized life celebrations.  A perfect example of this departure is how funeral homes are not really using stock funeral stationery anymore.  Funeral stationery software enables a funeral home to print anything the family wishes on blank stock.  All this can be done in-house in a quick and affordable manner.  The best part is that nothing is set in stone – options are what’s it’s all about.

Take prayer cards for instance.  Historically depicting pictures of saints and angels on one side and a prayer or verse on the flip side, now prayer cards can contain anything a client family wishes it to have.  Some may choose an image of the person who has passed away on one side and a favorite quote or poem on the reverse side.  Funeral stationery software makes all of this possible.

The poster boards displaying photographs of happier times in the deceased’s life as well as special family moments are falling by the wayside along with pre-printed funeral stationery.  Families are still digging out the old photo albums, but what’s being done with them is something just short of amazing.  Moving, tribute videos are being created.

Tribute video software enables a funeral director to take the images and even the videos that a client family provides and easily manipulate them into a tribute video complete with music, a theme that’s coordinated with the personalized funeral stationery and even add in photo captions or anything else the family wants.

The tribute video can be played during the service and then kept to watch again and again on anniversaries, other special occasions, or whenever the family wishes.  These tribute videos can also be uploaded onto the funeral homes’ website as well so the family keeps coming back to your website.

Another software program that has become popular in the last few years is funeral webcasting.  A webcast brings families closer together by literally closing the gap in miles enabling family and friends to attend a funeral online from anywhere in the world via the internet.  Instead of missing a funeral because of illness, work commitments, or finances, now by logging onto a secure website, the bereaved can see and hear everything that happens at the service.  Most people would never have imagined something like this would ever happen.  Yet, it’s available now as long as the funeral home has funeral webcasting software and the proper equipment.

While it may seem daunting to learn all of this new funeral software, sit back and relax.  Frazer Consultants has designed easy to use, all-in-one funeral software that will exceed your client family’s expectations and make your life easier too.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

Funeral Stationery Software

Today, many funeral directors are hearing that their client families want more and more personalization options.  They feel what makes a person unique ought to also be part of their life celebration.  Funeral stationery software can help funeral directors meet this need with the complete customization of a funeral service to honor the deceased with the more personalization options then ever thought possible.

No matter what the family wishes to have whether it’s 100 funeral programs, 10 personalized funeral candles, 200 thank you notes, a tribute video, or just a funeral register book and a few prayer cards, today’s funeral professional, equipped with the latest funeral software, can met these demands.  Using the funeral personalization software, a funeral director can select from one of hundreds of themes to insert into the pre-formatted templates for each piece of funeral stationery.  Utilizing blank stock, a laser printer and this simple to use print-on demand software program, death care professionals are able to produce customized keepsakes in-house that tell a story helping the bereaved honor their loved one.

Even DVD tribute videos can be created in-house using the all-in-one funeral software.  Not only does it include the funeral stationery software, but tribute video software and funeral webcasting software too.  This robust program provides funeral home with a suite of customization options, right at their fingertips.

Families looking for distinctive funeral stationery including funeral register books, prayer cards, memorial folders, funeral candles, and even holiday remembrance ornaments will be pleased with the selection available to them.  Using an online theme viewer, the funeral director can help his or her client family narrow down their selection.  Or, the funeral director can give families the opportunity to find just the right theme in the comfort and convenience of their home by adding the online theme viewer link to their funeral homes website.  Not only will it be more convenient for the funeral director, but it will show new families how important personalization is to your funeral home.

The personalization choices for the customer funeral stationery include more than 500 themes available for the stationery representing every interest, hobby, occupation and religious background.  Once a theme has been selected, the funeral home’s staff can get to work entering the deceased’s information in one time, clicking a few buttons and then printing the personalized stationery onto blank stock using a laser printer.

The results are a completely customized funeral stationery package that will remind mourners, in one glance, what made their beloved special.

The Effects of Grief and Loss

The death of an important person in one’s life creates an avalanche of emotions that are dreadfully uncomfortable, bewildering and isolating.  A sense of numbness, shock, disbelief and denial are common feelings during this time.  Despite the universal nature of these feelings, which transcend age, race and cultural boundaries, there is no condolence in knowing that others everywhere for all of history experience the same things.

The way grief manifests in people; however, can be drastically different from one person to the next.  One person may throw themselves into a frenzy of activity, desperately striving to keep busy to avoid facing the stark reality of death.  Others may retreat into a solitary world of loneliness, detaching from others and cutting all social ties.  They do this to gain a sense of understanding of the difficult moods and emotional reactions that death has brought crashing into their lives with a vengeance.  Neither way is right, neither is wrong, they are just different methods of dealing with one of the most challenging events to happen during life.

The knowledge that someone is gone forever that one has shared so much of him with is a terrible understanding.  Unresolved emotions and issues may wreak havoc upon one’s conscience and the unique essence that defined a loved one’s importance or a friendship may never be replaced.  This is why the funeral service to celebrate the loved one’s life is so critical.  Gathering with others who knew and loved the deceased is the best way to begin the mourning process.  Sharing stories and even the misery of the loss unites mourners.  A funeral service that includes items that are customized to the deceased with photographs, videos, cherished mementos and objects that express that persons hobbies, profession or interests creates an even more intimate atmosphere for those left behind to find comfort in the service and in one another.

There are many different methods to present the personality of the departed during a funeral service such as personalized funeral stationery and funeral candles; however, a DVD video tribute is certainly one of the most interactive.  A tribute video is a touching and powerful piece that invites the viewer to revisit the life milestones of the deceased with photographs, videos, favored quotes all set to music chosen by the family.  Generally shown at the service and available as keepsakes to the families, tribute videos serve as an excellent way to focus attendees on the many joys that the deceased brought to them.  The ability to celebrate a life while mourning a death helps to gain perspective on the nature of the life and death, and why the present is the most precious time we have.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments.  For more information, please visit http://www.frazerconsultants.com or call 866-372-9372.

The Grieving Process

Grief can be experienced after numerous events – the end of a relationship, the loss of a job or even a geographical relocation when friends and family must be left behind.  Of course, the most significant cause of grief is the death of a loved one.  Like many emotional reactions to major life events, grieving is an individual process that each person works through in their own way.  Funeral directors can provide helpful funeral products and services during a client family’s time of grief which aid in the process.

There are five stages of grief that most people tend to go through, although, as stated above, grief is a very personal experience and some people may not go through every stage.  Timing spent on each stage, intensity of emotions and the depth of the relationship will all impact the grieving process.
The first stage is denial.  Rejecting the truth and instead insisting to oneself of even others that the death has not occurred is a typical reaction during denial.

Anger typically follows denial in the grieving process.  Survivors can feel angry at God, at physicians, at other survivors, at themselves, or even at the deceased.  As anger is diffused, it yields to the next stage, bargaining.  This describes the irrational action of trying to “make a deal” with God, doctors, etc. and most often entails promises to change behavior to get the deceased back, or to substitute the survivor’s life for their loved one who has died.

Funeral professionals are able to help the bereaved during these first two stages simply by holding a funeral service for their client family.  If a loved one has died and it is impossible for a family or friend to attend in person, a funeral director can offer funeral webcasting.  A webcast enables others to attend the funeral online to see and hear family members, the service and the deceased which can provide a unique way for closure to those in mourning.

The final two stages of grief are depression and finally acceptance.  The death has become a reality and that realization can be a harsh truth.  During this stage it is particularly important that the bereaved surround themselves with a supportive network of people who have been through something similar or who are grieving the same person.

Funeral keepsakes can also provide support to client families during these stages of the grieving process.  Keepsakes can be created in forms of personalized funeral candles and holiday remembrance ornaments, DVD tribute videos, prayer cards – the list of unique keepsakes is endless.  Creating a personalized keepsake for family and friends to cherish and to memorialize their loved one can be helpful in the final stages of grief.  While the sadness over the loss of a person will never completely disappear, a keepsake helps them reflect, remember and celebrate their loved ones life as the death is at long last accepted.

NSF Sealants for Drinking Water

Hernon Manufacturings Self Seeler grades 604, 615, 616, and 618 as well as Hernon's Porosity Sealant 990 (HPS 990), Dripstop 923 and Cylinlock 24232, 824, 843, 845, and 846 are now certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61. This standard indicates that these products have been certified for usage on commercial and residential potable water system components up to 82°C (180°F).

Hernon's line of Self Seeler products are tough, pre-applied sealants for threaded pipe components. Self Seeler is non-hardening which means that it instantly seals but it can be adjusted and even removed and reinstalled up to 8 times without recoating the threads. Self Seeler is water-based and non-toxic, which allows for safe handling without special precautions. It can also prevent loosening due to vibration because of prevailing torque characteristics.

The pre-applied application of Self Seeler sealants means that the sealant can be applied to threaded components up to 4 years before use. This eliminates application on the assembly line, which can reduce concerns about installation and migration problems. Self Seeler also holds the advantage for field assembly because the parts are always properly coated and ready for installation. Self Seeler can be applied with semi-automatic or automatic applicators such the Hernon AutoCoater 3010.

Self Seeler grades 604, 615, 616, and 618 are also classified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. for use with gasoline, petroleum oils, natural gas (up to 300 psig), propane, and butane. (Reference UL File Number MH14222)

Dripstop® 923 is specially formulated for use on tapered threads and provides a lower break-loose torque than Dripstop® 940. Tapered threads “cone” together, so Dripstop® 923 is formulated for easier dis-assembly. 923 delivers temperature integrity to 300°F continuous and intermittent exposures to 375°F are tolerated.

Hernon® Porosity Sealant 990 (HPS 990) is the solution to leak proofing of parts. HPS offers improved machinability and surface quality for painting and plating. The hardened resins exhibit superior chemical resistance and elevated temperature stability. HPS 990 is an anaerobic-cure polymer impregnation resin. HPS 990 cures once it reaches the inner porosity of metal components. HPS 990 is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 for use in commercial and residential potable water systems not exceeding 82°C (180°F). This product was certified for a maximum surface area to volume ration of 50 sq. in./L. It was also certified for brass materials having no greater than 12% porosity.

Cylinlock Adhesives are high performance, single component, 100% active anaerobic retaining compound developed for bonding fitted cylindrical parts. Upon cure, Cylinlock forms a tough plastic bond that offers high strength, superior heat, and chemical resistance.

These certifications allow Hernon's formulations to be used in a wide-variety of applications.

Low Cost Print-On-Demand Funeral Stationery

New funeral stationery software affords relief to death care workers permitting them to supply a high level of personalization with straightforward, easy to use templates and technology and a low price, print on-demand program.

Funeral stationery has evolved. With new funeral stationery software advances, funeral personalization has come a long way from the humdrum, generic stationery of yesteryear. Death care professionals can now take advantage of the flexibility to supply client families virtually a limitless choice for a very personalized and complete set of funeral stationery. This new funeral technology has also mitigated the troubles of price, inventory considerations, issue of production and timeliness for funeral homes.

Traditionally, a funeral parlor would purchase pre-printed paper for the stationery. A funeral home might have had just a few choices for families to settle on attributable to the limited inventory in stock. Re-orders had to be managed and maintained closely to not run out of a specific item. Additionally, to add to the problem, suppliers needed minimum orders, which meant pricey outlays for stock inventory. Managing the funeral stationery inventory, coping with high prices and repetitively inputting the deceased's information for every piece, which consumed giant blocks of time for funeral directors and their staff, was draining.

These pre-historic days of funeral stationery are gone permanently. Today, a funeral professional can offer the most options for customized funeral stationery. They can quickly and simply create it on-demand from blank, perforated stock using software driven templates. Now, the mourning families are able to select from a large range of personalization choices and funeral homes are not compelled to inventory pre-printed stock. Everything required from register book pages, memorial folders, prayer cards, acknowledgements, bookmarks, DVD tribute video packaging, and even personalized funeral candles can all be developed using this funeral software.

The new funeral stationery software embodies over 500 predesigned and preformatted layouts; the software is also compatible with the funeral homes computer systems, like SRS Computing. Therefore, a funeral directors client family' will receive a high level of personalization with templates for just about every interest, hobby, occupation, and religious affiliation. Funeral homes are able to input the deceased's information only once and print specific amounts of each piece. It’s simple, easy and affordable.

Using the funeral parlors own printer, or a set, low cost-per-page program, this print-on-demand funeral stationery software, doesn’t require a funeral home to print a specific amount if it is not necessary. With this sort of specialized funeral stationery software, a funeral parlor will print solely what is required, when it's required and the results are a professional, low cost, and totally customized funeral stationery package.

Funeral stationery software is a vital part of personalizing a funeral service. These personalized pieces permit client families' to higher honor, celebrate, remember, and tell their loved ones life story. Additionally, the funeral stationery created are ideal keepsakes for those that attended the service.

Frazer Consultants primary products and services include interactive funeral home website design, funeral tribute video software, funeral webcasting, funeral candles, funeral keepsakes, funeral register books, personalized funeral stationery, temporary grave markers and funeral holiday remembrance ornaments. Silkscreen Application of Gasket Replacer

Most are familiar with the manual application of flange sealant as pictured here. There is a low-cost and much more effective method for applying flange sealant such as Hernon Gasket Replacer in production applications.

Silkscreen Application Method
The video below gives a quick step-by-step overview of using a silkscreen to apply flange sealant. Here are the elaborated steps:
  1. Create a silkscreen with the gasket face design etched into it. Hernon’s engineering staff can assist you with creating the silkscreen as well as a fixture. The fixture is important to increase the speed of setting the component for silkscreening, and it guarantees a perfect application every time.
  2. Apply a generous bead of Hernon Gasket Replacer to one end of the frame.
  3. Use a Hernon provided wiper to apply the sealant to the screen. Do not worry about the time needed to spread the Gasket Replacer. The anaerobic cure mechanism will not activate until the parts are mated.
  4. Wipe off excess sealant.
  5. Remove the screen and mate the components of the assembly
WATCH THE VIDEO

Hernon does provide a wide-variety of Gasket Replacer sealants for various metal substrates and operating environments. These anaerobic sealants cure in the absence of air, and they are formulated so that excess material harmlessly dissipates in the system. Advantages over precut gaskets include no shrink, rot, displacement, distortion, or relax. Flanges sealed with Gasket Replacer never need to be re-torqued.

About the application

The assembly being sealed is a cooler manifold for large LCD monitors in world-class racing yachts. Liquid coolant is pumped through the LCD and then into this radiator to dissipate the heat. Sealing the two halves of the manifold is critical for the application, which is why this company chose Hernon Gasket Replacer 916 anaerobic flange sealant and Hernon EF® Primer 50.
