Developing Defense Industry Equipment and Products

Hernon Manufacturing has long been a leader in adhesives and sealants for the ammunition industry. Custom military applications are the root of Hernon’s existence. In recent years the ammunition industry, like other facets of manufacturing, has become increasingly more sophisticated. They face the same concerns as other industries regarding sustainability and ecological responsibility in an environment of increased competition.

Hernon engineers many products specifically for the ammunition industry including outer waterproofing, identification, primer sealant, blank sealant, and process equipment – such as our custom dispensing solutions that Hernon developed for large munitions producers.

Ammunition Industry Formulations:
  • External Bullet Sealant 59541
  • Blank Ammunition Sealant 47374, 48641, 48642, 52051, 53162, 53491

Ammunition Industry Process Equipment:

Hernon has introduced a specialized website addressing products for this industry at http://ammo.hernon.com. This site features products including outer waterproofing, identification, primer sealant, blank sealant, and process equipment. Visitors to the site can view videos of custom dispensing solutions that Hernon has developed for large munitions producers. Some examples of Hernon Manufacturing's Ammunition process equipment:

  • Sureshot 3500 Microjet is capable of dispensing 6000 shots per minute of one microliter each. HernonsMicrojet Technology facilitates precision, no contact, high speed dispensing. As result of the companies persistent commitment to quality and thorough testing they can ensure continuous microjetting for hundreds of millions of dispense cycles in a hardened industrial environment without variation and or failure.
