ESA receives approval from local utility company for its 20MW Claysville, Pennsylvania solar farm
ESA Renewables, (ESA), a leading turnkey solar solutions provider recently received their feasibility study approval from the utility company.
"The results of the feasibility study were all positive,"said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables. "There are no potential capacity conditions."
The intent of the feasibility study is to determine a plan, with preliminary cost estimates, to connect the solar PV project to the utility network at the location specified by the interconnection customer. The results of this Feasibility Study show the necessary upgrades to the site as well as the assumption that there will be no environmental impacts associated with this project.
"The Claysville solar farm is moving along smoothly as expected," said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables. "This photovoltaic generation facility will generate decades of clean electricity for thousands of residents and we are proud to be an integral part of this solar project."
This ground-mount photovoltaic generating facility would be in operation for a period of twenty years on property located on West Route 40 in Washington County. The planned site is a grid connected 20MW solar photovoltaic generation facility, divided in 20 units, each of them with a 1 MVA step up transformer.
ESA plans to construct, commission, monitor, and operate and maintain (O&M) the solar array during the lifespan of the system. Utilizing ESA’s proprietary control and monitoring system via a secured connection, ESA’s system managers will have immediate access, from anywhere in the world, to pertinent real-time data being generated from the solar farm. They will be automatically alerted of events to allow for quick response. Performance data will also be collected and stored for later analysis, simulations, testing, etc. — all essential for effective preventive and corrective maintenance.
