Walk/Run in Lake Mary, Florida to benefit local charities
Lake Mary, Fl., April 10, 2012 – ESA Renewables (ESA), a leading turnkey solar solutions
provider, volunteered to be a Gold Sponsor for The Rescue Run Corporate
5K presented by Florida Hospital. The race, held March 29th, benefited
the Rescue Outreach Mission and other Seminole County charities.
“Our team did a fantastic job in this year’s race,” said Jeffrey Burkett, President of ESA Renewables. “I think this was an excellent opportunity for ESA to participate in a local charity event and build some camaraderie with each other and other community members.”
The event was Seminole County’s only annual corporate walk/run event.
This unique evening team event was a 3.1 mile walk/run that started at
6:30pm after work and ended with a health and wellness fair, DJ, lite
snacks, drinks, games and good times. This race also featured the
Seminole County Guns and Hoses Challenge where close to 100 police and
fire men and women competed in teams for a trophy and bragging rights.
The DJ/Emcee for this year’s race was Radio personality MIX 105.1 DJ
Adam Alexander.
During the event, ESA provided educational materials and information to local residents and area businesses promoting solar, detailing how it works and the benefits of ‘going solar’.
The race was held in Oval Park on International Parkway in Lake Mary. This was not a timed race and all teams were responsible for self reporting their time to the team captain if they wished to compete for team awards. Race cards were provided.
