Following participation in Florida SBDC's Growth Acceleration Services, HERNON Manufacturing expects to triple production
Pensacola, FL: Companies across Florida are accelerating their business growth with the Florida Small Business Development Center's (Florida SBDC’s) no-cost Growth Acceleration services. HERNON Manufacturing, founded by brothers Harry and Josef Arnon and located in Sanford, has taken advantage of the Growth Acceleration services at the Florida SBDC at the University of Central Florida (Florida SBDC at UCF). Housed in a 25,000 square-foot facility and producing over 5,000 high performance adhesives and sealant products, HERNON was ready for a new level. The company created an aggressive future growth strategy to quadruple plant size by the end of 2013 and increase their revenue; however, Hernon HERNON needed help implementing the strategy.
HERNON had an extensive history dating back to 1998 with the Florida SBDC at UCF so they contacted the Growth Acceleration Consultants. Through a detailed business health assessment, the Consultant analyzed financial performance metrics, made several recommendations to help them optimize cash flow and recommended strategies to better position the company for tremendous growth opportunities.
HERNON Manufacturing’s plan projects hiring 15 to 20 additional employees by year end 2012 and expanding into a 100,000 square-foot plant by year end 2013. The new building and equipment will enable the company to triple its production capacity.

Through the Florida SBDC’s no-cost Growth Acceleration services, companies can develop sustainable growth strategies in key business areas, including marketing and business development, cash flow management, strategic planning, market/industry research, as well as capital access. To qualify for the services the company must have growth as a goal, be operating for at least three years, have annual revenue ranging from $500,000 to $10 million, and employ five or more workers.
